Say Cheese!
Jaeden FINALLY lost her first top tooth! She had it dangling there for quite sometime and wouldn't let anyone touch it. She finally gave in and laid on Aunt Robin's lap. After a quick twist and yank, it came right out! Jaeden cried and cried, and cried!! After recovering, ha, she says it didn't hurt but she only cried because she tasted blood! Wussy! Just kidding, we are so happy for you baby girl!

Fun at Nana & Papa's
We always love to visit Nana and Papa in Pine. It's always a nice getaway and always VERY relaxing. We all drove out of Pine to look for a good sledding spot. Unfortunately, it was closed! Not because of snow(there was plenty of that), but because they don't keep maintence up on the road up, bummer! So we improvised and found our own hill and even got Nana to sled down. It was lots of fun!!
Talan instantly found this mound of dirt behind their house and I think he would have stayed there all day if we would have let him. He and Chad even made steps to get to the top, too cute! Good thing we brought up his shovel and rake, they were put to use!
King of the hill
Nana always has the best toys, and this car is always a bit hit. We brought up Talan's tractor so that both kids would have a vehicle, and hence...no fighting, just lots of races! It was great!

Papa Butch was/is a pinstriper. We ventured to his HUGE garage to watch him at his finest...striping! Jaeden was surprised, yet so happy when papa asked her if she wanted to try. Really? What if I make a mistake? Will it wipe off? He reassured her and she went to town.

She's a pro!

Final creation was a hit! Thanks papa Butch, hope your client likes her work!

Our newest addition
Well, I was feeling the need for a new baby and since Chad wouldn't offer me that....this is what we got instead! Meet Koda! Merry Christmas to me!
I did have instant regrets, especially after not sleeping for the first week!(I swear pets are worse than having a new baby!). But since I went out on a whim and got her, I had to keep her! She has become a good addition to our family and Belle has learned to love her...like she has a choice! They love to play!

Snow play!!
And we made it to Flagstaff...finally, I know!
We had such a fun day up at Wing Mountain..the best sledding place in AZ in think! We started off on the little sledding hills, but within a few minutes the kids were ready to take on the HUGE hill. It was packed with people sledding down one after the other. Jaeden went solo and ended up toppling over her sled and rolling down most of the hill. I got it all on tape and it was too funny! I told her to get down quick as there were other sledders heading her way. Once she got her feet untangled from the rope she ran over to me fighting off tears. The snow had made it up her shirt onto her bare skin, giving her a little snow burn. ;-)
Talan getting all of his gear on!
Jaeden waiting so patiently

Back at the hotel! We stayed at our timeshare at the Los Abrigados Resort. They do an awesome Christmas display every year where random families decorate each part of the resort in different themes. This one was Talan's favorite display, Mario Brothers!

BELOW:
This was down by the creek at Los Abrigados Resort.
The creek where Chad proposed to me!
The creek where he almost fell in while proposing..nervous you say??
The creek that we were married by.
It was nice to go back and have those memories to share with our kids. I think we fed the same ducks that attended our wedding.

The best part of the trip was walking onto the deck of our hotel room and finding this outdoor jacuzzi tub!! The kids were beside themselves with excitement, and frankly so were we!! We didn't even get this treatment on our wedding night! What? So after a long day of snow play we turned off the lights, dumped a whole bottle of resort shampoo in and we ALL got into the tub. It was really fun and we had a slew of everlasting bubbles to play santa/beard games. Despite how cold it was outside, it was so refreshing and cool sitting in the jacuzzi and seeing the steam pop off the water. Ahh...

Another stop...
Montezuema's Castle

On our way up to Sedona, we stopped at Montezuema's Castle for a little hiking and adventure. For those of you who have never gone, they are ancient indian ruins and a pretty amazing site to see! I remember as a child, going there with my family and expecting to see a huge, BEAUTIFUL shiny castle. Probably picturing something out of a Cinderella book. Well, it was not that at ALL. Jaeden was under the same impression, but she seemed to get over it quicker than I did. So sorry sweetie! But back in those days it probaby was a castle to them! It was amazing and just reminded me how easy we have it today. The kids really enjoyed the grounds and really wanted to just go inside so bad! Here is a diagram of what it looked like in those days

Here it is today

We strolled around and let the kids take hold of the camera...they were in heaven! We love getting away from the everyday routines of life and it's the best to see our kids let loose and just have a goofy time. This was them in true form, no requests for poses, they came up with their own. I love pictures like these!

Jaedens school party
Jaeden's class party was a bit hit!! They made gingerbread houses, paper reindeers, did a book exchange and ended the day with a homemade toothfairy pillow from her teacher! What a great idea, considering most teeth start falling out in first grade. I always enjoy going into her classroom to help. We had so much fun!
I went in early to eat lunch with Jaeden and a special visitor...SANTA came in blasting jingle bells on through the speakers and running down the lunch aisles high-fiving all the kids. They got a big kick out of it!
