Ben & Aubrey's Wedding

We traveled to good ol' Salina, Kansas over mother's day weekend to celebrate the marriage of Ben & Aubrey. Ben is our nephew. It was a great weekend with family and the wedding turned out beautifully. Jaeden was one of the flower girls and Talan was the ring bearer. I have to say they were the cutest! The kids had a ball dancing at the reception and Jaeden lasted longer than many of the adults...little dance machine! Talan came to me about 11 and said he wanted to go to his hotel (cute, because we were already at our hotel, but just downstairs). In my laziness I have just captioned some of the photos, but there were a lot more taken! Here are some of our favorites. Benny & Aubrey thanks for letting us all be part of your special day! We secretly really liked Kansas ;-)

Loved the orange! It stood out so nice with the park wedding.

During the ceremony...T trying to talk to the other flower girl.

What a stud! Already has 2 ladies..too bad one of them is his sister. Jaeden managed to throw most of her flower petals on the crowd, ha, ha!

Getting all dolled up by Ray. We loved Ray!! I think I would travel to Kansas just to have him do my hair.

After watching Ben get the garder under Aubrey's dress, Talan saw the need to follow. He stole the show and we all had a good laugh!

My baby is growing up!

We survived!! Talan completed his first apples to Zebras 6-week class last week. This will be one of many posts as he will be going back for another session in August. At the end of each session, they put on a program where the kids sing songs that they have learned. Talan was so excited and did surprisingly well up on stage with his classmates. Although, we have a lot of work to do :-), we are so proud of Talan and how much he has grown up this past year. He can ride his bike with no training wheels, buckle and unbuckle himself in the car, plays soccer, helps mow the lawn and pick weeds, works the remote better than me and lastly, he has mastered tackling his big sister..she doesn't even try anymore. In reality, it's because he can take her! We love you T!

Not so innocent!

On to Talan...

I love my dear son, but he has been causing us so much grief lately. I know it's his age, or at least I hope so...this can't be a permanent thing! So Talan has been in Apples to Zebras (a preschool class) now for almost 6 weeks. We had some crying spells, etc in the beginning. However, he has been an angel and loving class for a while now.
SO..I pick him up yesterday and his teacher proceeds to tell me that he was in timeout for hitting & punching. Surprise, surprise! I feel like he lives in timeout lately at home. He and daddy are always playing karate kid..Talan calls himself Johnny. You know the guy that is always beating up on Danielson?! Yeah, that's our son!

Anyways. So he's in timeout and here's what she explains to me:

Talan: picking his nose (in timeout)
His teacher: "Talan please don't do that, get up and go wash your hands"
Talan: Looks at her, doesn't get up to wash his hands, but INSTEAD decides to eat his dangling booger! GROSS!
His teacher: "Talan, gross, now go wash your hands PLEASE!"
Talan: gets up and pretends like he's going to wash his hands, but instead runs to the other class where is buddy Logan is!

So needless to say, I was completely mortified! We were supposed to have a play date at his friends house, but I had to stick to my guns and pass on that one. So after crying all the way home, banning a couple of disney movies, and missing a playdate, I think he learned his lesson. Guess we'll find out next week..one more week left. Hopefully they will accept him back!

Another post of J!

I know I have been posting a lot about Jaeden..I promise that I do love my monster son! This time of year is just so busy with school stuff. I had to post this..it is a picture of Ms. Wagter (J's adorable teacher) in front of her door. We as room moms decorated her door in honor of her upcoming marriage. But just look who is peeping throught the window! I must say her door was the best. Thanks Krista for taking this cute photo, it made me smile :-)
