Irrigation fun
I can still remember as a child going to my grandpa's house in Mesa at least once a month to play in the irrigation. It was something that my siblings and I loved to do and looked forward to a day of fun in the sun. My kids are now enjoying this same fun at Grandpa & Grandma Moody's house. It's so nice that they are only a mile away! I hope that they will remember these moments forever like I have.

Backyard camping
In preparation for an upcoming girl scout backyard campout and a few other camping trips planned this summer, we thought we'd practice first with a backyard campout. We surprised the kids and made them wait all day for the "big" announcement! It's always nice to have leverage in getting them to complete their chores :-)
We started the night early watching Princess and the frog on our portable DVD player (going real hard-core camping here!) We made it half-way through and had some backyard visitors, thanks grandpa & grandma Moody for checking in on us. The dogs got more scared than we did! Then the kids and Chad zonked out pretty early! I laid there in the peace of the night. It was SO relaxing to hear really nothing, maybe a few passing cars and grasshoppers singing, then it was my turn...out! Surprisingly, after falling asleep so easily, I didnt sleep well. Chad and I were both cold and our backs started to hurt. Who knew the kids would be so much better at this than we were! We wussed out and ended up carrying the kids in the house about 3am and we all passed out on the living room floor. :-) I really cant wait for the REAL camping experience...with a air mattress! Coming soon!!
A little volleyball action first

Even Belle and Koda joined in the fun!

Soccer for T
Talan's playing soccer again! Chad is coaching with one of his friends that he grew up with, Wade. Wade's litte guy, Carter is also playing. It's so fun watching these two friends who used to play, now coaching their sons! Talan had a slow start this season, probably our own fault as we took about 6 months off. His first game the whole family came out to watch and Talan got stage fright we think :-) But he was easily bribed to play...star wars guys always do the trick. His last game he scored 2 goals! Great job buddy, we love you!!
I love this shot...look how little he is!!

1st Grade field trip
Jaeden's class went to see Peter and the Wolf at the Tempe Arts Theater. Thankfully I was chosen to go as only 2 parents per class got to attend. Yay for me!! I think I was more excited than Jaeden. Here are the kids at the park eating lunch/playing before we headed to the play. Jaeden was SO excited for the bus ride! It was a great play and a fun day spent with my daughter. Thanks Mrs. Pearce!

Vegas Trip- Feb. 2010
We took a family vacation to Vegas oh a couple of months ago...yes, and now I'm finally blogging about it. I swear I'm going to get better at this. No particular reason, but mainly just to get away for a long weekend...oh, and use our timeshare. You can't pass up free rooms in Vegas!! We were able to visit my dear friend Emily and spend some fun times with her family. Here we are bowling at Red Rock Lanes.

Emily and I
Emily is an amazing photographer, mostly for fun, but she REALLY needs to get her business up and running! She's so kind and always willingly volunteers to take our family photos everytime we visit. Thanks Em, you're the best! Here are some of our favs!

We always have to visit the heated resort pool, especially in February! This is the kids' favorite part of traveling. As you see, I was the only smart one and was lucky to just take the photos!

We were able to watch Chad's little sister play in a volleyball tourney all weekend while there. She's so talented and it was so much fun watching her games. Jaeden has now become extremely fond of volleyball and wants to follow in Jordy's footsteps and play volleyball. We ended the long day of swimmming and volleyball with a great family dinner!
Talan couldn't even make it through dinner...poor guy we wore him out!!
